The cheer-up game:
when help hurts.
Based on real relationships
This story started with the director's own story of blindly trying to love the depression
out of someone (whose depression he failed to even acknowledge).
Beyond his personal story, the director also sought feedback from over 60 friends, colleagues, family members, and experts to incorporate a variety of experiences and perspectives on mental health in relationships.

Synopsis
In this surreal drama with a touch of whimsical
comedy, Nelly is a young woman whose emotions have jumped out of her head in the form of sunshine, snowstorms, windstorms, and more.
A surreal Weatherwoman guides us through the world of Nelly's depression by trying to forecast Nelly's shifts in mood.
With a forecast of sunny skies, Nelly excitedly takes her boyfriend, Allen, out for a picnic, but then realizes her mental state has shifted and her world's gone cold— a literal snowstorm hits their picnic spot.
Allen's painfully oblivious to the changing weather, and Nelly urges him to enjoy the picnic without her.
Unaddressed, Nelly's internal storm grows to dangerous proportions. She tries to push Allen away with a windstorm. He tries to cheer her up with blinding sunshine.
Will they ever address the dangerous weather patterns of their relationship?
Will they ever end this cycle of misunderstanding?
